Luke Sookdeo, an Arena ex-student, visited the Year 9 GCSE Drama class this month. He is now based in LA where he is in the process of auditioning for some exciting projects. During his flying visit, he led a workshop with the Year 9 students working on characterisation. The students got the opportunity to perform their drama pieces they had been working on. Luke offered his professional feedback which all students appreciated and are now excited to put in to action. The session ended with a Q&A where the students left with great knowledge of how to develop their acting careers and what they need to start doing now in order to be successful.

We were absolutely delighted to welcome three ex-students back to Arena Academy earlier this month. Our current Year 10 and Year 11 students were able to listen to their Post-16 experiences, which included our ex-students making applications to study Law and English Literature at the university of Oxford, and possibly continuing their studies at Yale in the USA! Our ex-students delivered an informative and inspiring presentation, followed by a Question and Answer Session. This experience has certainly raised the academic aspirations of our most able students, and has made them even more determined to achieve excellent results.
